Minutes for September 19 2002 On-the-Air Meeting

"Attendees" were as follows:

  1. T-shirts (which are hilarious) are on sale for $6 each and will be ordered on Monday or Tuesday (Sept. 23 or 24). If you would like one (and I KNOW everyone would), please CALL me this weekend at 405-205-3928. DO NOT e-mail me, for I will not receive it. I need to know your name, and the shirt size that you want to order. I am ordering shirts on Monday or Tuesday depending on my schedule, and if you order too late, too bad;
  2. I NEED HELP NEXT WEEK FOR THE SOONER DAY BOOTH.....IF YOU ARE AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY AND/OR WEDNESDAY AM-3 PM I NEED YOU!
  3. The club is sponsoring a Halloween booth at the Cleveland County YMCA on October 31, from 5:45-9:00 pm. I NEED HELPERS FOR ALL OR PART OF THIS TIME. E-mail me yesterday if you can donate candy or (preferably) help with the booth.
  4. DUES ARE DUE AT THE NEXT MEETING. IF YOU DON'T PAY, I WILL ADORN YOUR FRONT YARD WITH DEAD GOATS.
  5. The next meeting will be held on October 10, in Sarkeys room 830 instead of on October 3 due to OU football. Imagine that...
  6. If you have not added yourself to Jud's e-mail list, do so immediately or I will put a dead goat in your yard. Email ouarc@ou.edu with your name, call (if you have one), and the email address you want the list to go to.
  7. UOSA is giving us money in January if we submit a budget. Jud and I will take care of writing the budget, but to do that, we need ideas...that means that I need all of you to tell me what you want to do (if we want to attend hamfests etc...) next semester. It can be things like "go to Dayton for hamfest" and if we don't get the funds, it's ok...we tried. E-MAIL me with those ideas ASAP.
  8. Jud is looking into the ouarc.ou.edu website. For now, the website is geophysics.ou.edu/ouarc/.  Please check it out within the next few days for updates, etc. (t-shirt designs)
  9. Mel (KD5QXI) has offered her services as web-updater when we start getting things on the web.
  10. Concerning the Collins equipment - Phil (KD5JSA) will fix it if we desire. If not, who knows. Other decisions will be made after #6 on this list is completed.
  11. I am adding OUARC to the list of clubs on OKCtraders.com.
  12. Jud and Earl are going to look into salvaging antennae on Sunday morning at 9 am (at the airport for breakfast...). Jud will also look into the locale of our new "shack".
  13. Mel will try to make contact this weekend with UTARC about maybe having a college something or other.
  14. The December meeting is going to be a "party" held at the Vista. More info forthcoming.
  15. We will sponsor an antenna/field day (with food!) next semester. It will be open to EVERYONE, and I will talk to other clubs about it. The committee for this is Marilyn, Mel, Chris, Jud, and Earl. If anyone has stuff to donate to antenna-making success, let me know.
  16. Marilyn is going to call the Norman Transcript and see about selling our aforementioned T-shirts as a fundraiser. (Scott is also going to mention a printing-at-increased-cost shirt sale in Plano as a fundraiser for us....yay for $).
  17. Earl spoke about his remote-based HF facility at www.internetremotebase.com. Check out this site, and/or email Earl if you want more info.
  18. Other stuff that was mentioned??? Let me know. I'm sure everyone remembers what all was said of course, but if you have questions/comments or amendments, e-mail me!
