  • Club room
    We need to move more stuff into CEC S2 to lay better claim to the space. If you have club stuff, contact John KC5VEI to arrange dropping it off. We are still waiting to find out about the penthouse.
  • Class
    The license class finished Monday March 2nd with the license test. Of the 22 who pre-registered, 18 didn't have the flu and there were 2 walkings. 11 new Techs were passed along with one upgrade to Advanced.
  • QSL cards
    We have a prototype! Now we just need to double check the format and make some minor changes. After that its off the printer's! We might actually have them by the next meeting.
    The QSL card committee will meet next Tuesday.
  • QSO cards
    The last School Club Roundup generated 5 QSO cards.

  • New Net
    Starting Monday the 16th there will be a 7:00pm net to encourage new hams to get on the air. Pending SCARS approval, the net will be on 147.06.
  • VHF Spring Sprints
    This is a series of one day contests, each on a different band and lasting 4 or 5 hours.

         144 MHz: April 13,    7 PM to 11 PM local time
         222 MHz: April 21,    7 PM to 11 PM local time
         432 MHz: April 29,    7 PM to 11 PM local time
         902 MHz:   May 09,    6 AM to  1 PM local time (Pick 5 consecutive hours)
        1296 MHz:   May 09,    6 AM to  1 PM local time (Pick 5 consecutive hours)
        2304 MHz:   May 09,    6 AM to  1 PM local time (Pick 5 consecutive hours)
          50 MHz:   May 16-17, 2300Z Sat to 0300Z Sun.
    

  • Antenna Retrieval
    The antenna down by Lindsey street really should be taken down before it falls on someone.
  • New Computer
    The computer currently hosting the OUARC web pages, mailing lists, archives, and records will be going away sometime in the next year. We need to consider options for a replacement.

  • NWS Spotter Class

    The special event station celebrating the first tornado prediction will be on March 23rd and 24th.
