OUARC Club Offices
In accordance with the club bylaws, the duties
of the officers of the OUARC are as follows:
- President:
The President shall preside at all meetings of the OUARC and
its Executive Council. The President shall represent the OUARC at all
meetings with other organizations. The President shall also appoint
all committees of the OUARC and committee chairs, except the chairs of
the Program Committee and Publicity Committee. The President must be
a University of Oklahoma student and Full Member in good standing at
the time of election.
- Vice-President:
The Vice President shall assume the duties of the President in
event of the President's absence. The Vice President shall assume
those duties of the President that are so delegated by the President.
The Vice President shall also be chair of the Program Committee. The
Vice President must be a University of Oklahoma student and Full
Member in good standing at the time of election.
- Secretary:
The Secretary shall maintain records of the general meetings
and executive council meetings and maintain and post such records at
the discretion of the President. The Secretary shall chair the
Publicity Committee. The Secretary must be a Full or Associate Member
in good standing at the time of election.
The duties of the secretary will include maintaining the mailing list
and Web pages. A familiarity with UNIX and HTML documents is essential
- Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall maintain financial and membership records
and shall make a financial report of the OUARC finances at the annual
OUARC election meeting or at the request of the President. The
Treasurer shall maintain inventories of all club equipment and
materials and shall make an inventory report at the annual OUARC
election meeting or at the request of the President. The Treasurer
must be a Full or Associate Member in good standing at the time of
election.
Since the treasurer is in charge of equipment, previous experience
with HAM equipment is a good idea.
